A recognized trailblazer, Valencia H. Miller, holds the title of CEO & Visionary for SKIP Georgia Chapter Inc. (Save Kids of Incarcerated Parents), a non-profit organization whose mission is to break the cycle of generational incarceration. SKIP Georgia is making a significant mark by providing innovative educational programming and supportive wraparound services to children and families impacted by incarceration, the justice-involved, and other at-risk youth within marginalized communities. Valencia has accomplished over 30 years of leadership as a corporate, community, and educational leader. She is a business professional passionately involved in various initiatives to improve youth self-awareness, academic achievement, family empowerment, and business operations excellence.
After serving for 21 years Valencia retired from her assignment, in the criminal justice reform arena, as Business Operations Manager/Statewide Reentry Services with the State of Georgia. She is a certified youth empowerment coach, presenter and trainer to public school teachers, administrators, parents, school system leaders, and community stakeholders on various platforms. She attributes most of her leadership expertise and training to several successful corporate and leadership positions held at companies including Cox Broadcasting & Communications/ WSB-TV and Radio, H.J. Russell & Company, FDIC, Fulton County School System, and the State of Georgia.
Valencia is gifted with a strong passion for the welfare of underserved families and children. To this end, she has committed her working years to giving back to those less fortunate by sharing her accomplishments and talent, all because of her appreciation and love for the gift of life. She holds a B.A. degree in Business Management from Clark Atlanta University and a Master’s in Education from Central Michigan University. She and her husband, Curtis, live in Metro Atlanta.
